Hi, I’m Dr. Amanda MĀRA Rizzotto

I am a singer, harpist, and piano teacher who holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, a Master of Music from North Park University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Fonoaudiologia (Speech Language Pathology) from Veiga de Almeida University, Brazil.

I am grateful for the inspiration of my teachers and mentors, especially Leila Guimarães, Dr. Annie Piccard, Dr. Kimberly James, Wanda Eichbauer, Cristina Braga, and Nyela Basney.

My doctoral dissertation demonstrates the richness and diversity to be found in the art song genre from countries outside of the standard repertoire, specifically focusing on the Brazilian composer Francisco Mignone.

…a little more about me…

I come from a very musical family. From when I was very young, my five siblings and I were learning and playing music together. My grandmother was my first piano teacher, and as I grew older I was trained in singing and harp as well. My family came together for music and it has formed the foundation of the musician I am today.

That is why I am so passionate about teaching children music. Learning music can open gateways to so much! Learning piano can be a gateway into the world of music.

We offer one-on-one lessons of singing, piano, harp, and music theory lessons for students starting age five. It is never too early or too late to learn an instrument or to sing!
